Who Are We?
Trinity Baptist Church is located just east of Sherwood Park on Baseline Road. Trinity has been an active part of the Sherwood Park and Strathcona County community for over thirty years. We have a desire to grow in faith, ben engaged in our local community, and to make a difference in the world with the gifts, resources, and calling God has given us. Trinity strongly values relationships within the faith community – it’s not uncommon to see families and individuals connecting and sharing with each other half an hour after the service.
In Sherwood Park, Trinity has been known for a variety of ministries over the years. In the past we were well known for our Boys Brigade and Pioneer Girls, as well as our church choir which performed the Messiah on a yearly basis including a number of performances at Festival Place. More recently Trinity has been known for it’s youth programs, Summer Day Camps, and the Preschool. Along with those programs Trinity has been working to impact the community through partnerships with organizations such as the Mustard Seed and Habit for Humanity. We are also involved with the local Trade Fair.
As a church and as individuals, we’re not perfect – but we’re trying to be the best disciples of Christ we can. We invite you, wherever you are at in life, to come join us in seeking to know God better, and live out the life He calls us to in the world around us.
Trinity is a member church of the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada (CBWC). The mission arm of CBWC is Canadian Baptist Ministries. CBM is funded by the Canadian Baptists of Western Canada, Canadian Baptists of Ontario and Quebec, Union D'Eglise Au Canada Francais, Canadian Baptists of Atlantic Provinces. In total there are 1,300 Canadian Baptist churches which are a part of these four conventions (140,000 members). We serve in about 14 countries as well as Canada. We also are part of the Baptist World Alliance (35,000,000 members).
