Trinity has a long tradition of small groups meeting together. Small groups are an important way for people to grow in their faith and to find a sense of community and belonging. Why? Because many have discovered that small groups are one essential way to become more connected to the community of faith, to grow in our faith, and to express that faith in our world through acts of service and ministry.
Small Groups are as Basic as A.B.C. at T.B.C
What is a Small group? One definition that is a good starting point is this:
| |
A Christian small group is an intentional face-to-face gathering of 3-12 people on a regular time schedule with the common purpose of discovering and growing in the possibilities of the abundant life in Christ.

From that definition, one can see that there is agreat deal of room for various expressions of what a small group might be and do. But certain elements should be present in any group.
Effective small groups have three crucial elements. We believe that all these elements need to be represented in each small group. Because they are so central, we have built them into the "motto" of small group ministry at Trinity. They are the A.B.C's of our small groups:
- A - Advancing in mission
- B- Belonging together
- C - Cultivating our Faith
