SYRIAN REFUGEE TEAM MEETING
You are invited to a meeting to receive an update on how things are coming along in our process of bringing over a refugee family.
It will be held downstairs in the fellowship hall. All are welcome to attend. Still have questions? Please see Gerald or Patti C.

 

COMMUNITY CARE OFFERING
Next Sunday, we will be collecting our Community Care Offering. The
December offering will be designated to The Neighbor Centre, a charitable organization founded to address the needs of neighbors experiencing homelessness and poverty. We are hoping to collect $2000.00 for fight poverty by delivering essential programs and services to neighbors experiencing homelessness and poverty, if there is an excess, it will be directed to our community care fund to assist other needy individuals or mission partners.

 

CHRISTMAS HATS & MITTS CAMPAIGN
Trinity Kids would like to support the Neighbour Center in Edmonton this Christmas with donations of hats & mitts for the homeless.  They need a lot of men’s warm, dark-colour mitts and hats.  Please note that they prefer dark colors, NOT colourful, handmade knits.  Please join us to help keep people warm this winter by bringing in a pair of mitts and/or a hat to hang on our tree downstairs in the foyer.  We will be collecting until December 13th.  For every set of mitts or hat you bring you will be able to take a candy cane from the tree.  Happy Giving!

 

SAVE THE DATE—DECEMBER 20th
This concert is to benefit ACT-(Action Coalition Against Human Trafficking) Come support a good cause while taking in some of Edmonton’s BEST singer/songwriters all in one show. This is a real treat for not only Trinity Baptist Church but a treat for the Edmonton music scene to have such artists as Braden Gates, Cayley Thomas, Post Script, Jenie Thai and many more! Ticket are $15
and will be for sale next Sunday at the info desk!

WINTER TIME
Friday December 4th from 7:00- 900pm
We are going to enjoy the Winter. That means some hardcore NEXT LEVEL hot chocolate. It’s Hot Chocolate unlike anything you’ve ever seen before. Also we will create a Star Wars style Battle of Hoth wide game outside. AND there will be ice sculpting and if the Lord wills it, we will have some snow for potential sledding.
Dress warm PLZ AND TY.

We thought it would be nice to have the kids do something special in the service on December 20th.  The worship team will be singing God Rest Ye Merry Gentlemen and including adults, youth and kids in a medley.  Grades 1-4 will be practicing at 10:30am  Sunday mornings downstairs Nov.22-Dec. 13 and Gr.5&6’s are welcome to join them for this short time.  The preschoolers will be learning a poem to recite before the song. YOUTH PAINT NIGHT FUNDRAISER
When: Friday, November 27th, 7:00pm start time
Where: Trinity’s Fireside Room
What: This is a fundraiser to send our youth to the Mustard Seed to serve a meal. Our host Ashley Winkel and her wonderful assistants will guide you through the process of painting a beautiful picture in the Fireside Room. This could work beautifully as a date, a night out with friends, or simply a time to let out your artsy side. Cost is $20 and other donations will be accepted. You will get to keep your painting at the end of the night! Please sign up at the info desk. We have 24 spots maximum. This event is open to adults!

 

MEXICO MISSION TRIP MEETING

REFUGE—THE LONGING
Please join us on November 28 at 7 pm as we enter the Advent season with worship
stories, prayer,  scripture,   reflection, and response. In the busyness of our lives it can be difficult to dedicate time to worship, pray and listen for God’s voice.  Refuge is a sacred time to encounter God in freedom and openness, a place where each person is invited to meet God in both new and familiar ways.

sexting, cyber bullying, and the consequences of pornography. There will also be resources on parental controls for gaming systems and cell phones. This fun-filled, information packed morning runs from 9am-12pm in the Fireside Room. Led by Julie Parr and Deborah Watson of the Saffron Centre.

It is with sadness that we wanted to let you know that Alan Beards passed away on November 2nd, 2015. Alan was a charter member of Trinity Baptist. His celebration of life will be held at Fort
Saskatchewan Community Baptist Church on Saturday, November 21st at 2:00pm. In lieu of flowers, the family is asking that you would donate to the Canadian Lung Association or to the sound booth fund of Community Baptist.

Wheelchair Wanted / Needed
Friends! We are in need of a wheelchair.
We are hoping someone has one that is gently used and they are willing to donate it to Trinity for use for when people who need one come to our building.
