MAKING PEACE WITH CREATION FILM SCREENING — TODAY!
There is no shortage of controversy about the environment, economy, and
resource development these days. To what extent are your thoughts on these issues shaped by Christ or by culture? Today, Nov 26, from 6-8 PM, we’re hosting a film screening and discussion to help us think ‘Christianly’ about such a pressing current issue. The film itself is produced by Regent College, and it features Loren Wilkinson, a poet and theologian who has spent a lifetime writing and teaching about creation care. A response to the film and discussion time will be hosted by Dr Randolph Haluza-DeLay, an associate professor of sociology at The King’s University. His research focuses are on the sociology of environmental sustainability and social justice, and part of his research looks at how faith communities are responding to climate change. There is no charge for this event and there will be light refreshments served.

Christmas is very quickly approaching and the children are going to be putting on a cute performance on the morning of December 10th, 2017.  There will be singing, acting, and even a blacklight show!  Parents, here’s what you need to know for the next few weeks.
Nursery and Toddler Rooms are running as normal each Sunday, including December 10th.
Preschool still meets in their class Sunday mornings and they will be practicing being manger animals for part of their mornings over the next few weeks.
Gr. 1-4 will be rehearsing a play during their regular time.  Don’t worry, each child will have a part.  A full rehearsal will take place Saturday December 9th at the church from 9am-11am.
Gr. 5-6 are rehearsing during their morning class as well but will be starting at 10:30am.

If they are going to be in the performance on December 10 it is VERY important that they are at each rehearsal.  They will also have an extra rehearsal Saturday December 9th from 10am-12pm.
Parents are needed to help gather costumes for the play.  If you can help please talk with Darlene.
