At Trinity we understand “missions” as an outflow of “mission”, specifically, God’s mission. God is on a mission to bring his kingdom of shalom to all of his creation (shalom is a Hebrew word that encompasses meanings like peace and wholeness). The amazing thing is that God invites us to participate with him in building his kingdom here on earth. One particular aspect of God’s kingdom mission is for people to become lifelong, passionate disciples of the one God-Man who reconciles us to God and who is our pattern of life: Jesus Christ. We want to share the good news of Jesus in the way we live and talk so that others are drawn into the mission of God and they join us on our journey of discipleship. The scope of this mission begins right where we are and extends as far as our reach – pretty distant in today’s technological world of instant connection! At Trinity, we have chosen to share the good news in Mexico by sending groups out to work in an orphanage on the Baja peninsula, and in the Czech Republic and Kenya by actively supporting two families who have chosen to live in these countries.
If you are looking for a way to challenge your world view, put your faith in action, or just to give your time and effort to someone in need, then a short term missions trip might be the answer for you. Perhaps you are not able to go, but wish to be a part of the action. You could participate in fundraising activities, pray for the teams and the ministries they visit, offer encouragement to team members. We have taken multiple trips to the Foundation for His Ministry orphanage in Vicente Guerrero (south of Ensenada on the Baja peninsula) to work on tasks as needed in the orphanage, participate in outreach in local migrant workers’ camps, learn about poverty issues in the country of Mexico and encourage our partners in ministry there.

We are thrilled to partner with a Canadian family serving in the Czech Republic. These partners serve as “Global Field Staff” with Canadian Baptist Ministries, a movement that links Canadian Baptist churches with Baptist churches around the world. In addition to providing some financial support for them, we pray for them, send notes of encouragement and occasionally share in worship with them via SKYPE.
Our partners are:
